I can't find a passage in my post where I said that there NO 500 rwhp Z's that did not have side mounts. What I SAID was that the side mount is absolutely inadequate when you are laying down 500 rwhp in the Z. There is no question that the motor will heak soak after a handful of dyno pulls. Let's be very clear here: The yellow Z was putting down more than 500 rwhp with Stillen side mounts. The next time you are dynoing in your 500 rwhp Z, please feel free to squirt all the water you would like on the upgraded side mounts....it will not matter...the motor is still going to heat soak because they are simply not enough of a heat sink to keep the heat out of the motor. Please take the time to feel both the intake/exit side of your upgraded side mounts after a pull and get a sense yourself of how damn hot the thing actually stays. It is NOT getting rid of the heat my friend....the heat is going straight into your motor and the motor now becomes the heat sink.
Next, as a baseline for comparison, please take the time to place your hand on the FMIC of a Supra (or whatever) during a dyno tuning session and see what the difference actually is. Call it rubbish all you would like and feel free to mod your Z anyway you wish. B
